37% rural youth sans Internet access: Study
After having worked as a labourer at a construction site and in agriculture fields, life of two girls from a rural area in Dhamtari district of Chhattisgarh took a major turn when a common service centre owner and software professional Tanuja Raichuria picked them up to work for an e-governance project at Common Service Center (CSC).
Educated in science up to Class XII in a government school, Poornima and Omkumari are now happy on attaining the new digital avatar of online service provider. “We never thought of becoming part of IT services when he passed 12th but our lives have changed now,” they said.
