37% rural youth sans Internet access: Study
Chip manufacturer Intel has announced that it will now focus on improving digital literacy levels in India. According to a report in TOI, an Intel official has stated that the company hopes to bring in a culture of innovation in the nation.
Debjani Ghosh, vice-president and managing director at Intel, South Asia, said, “On the digital literacy front, we have already trained 4 million people and intend to train more. We also want to work towards building the culture of innovation for which we are working with various partners such as state governments.” She also said that Intel is hoping to build a product portfolio of customised computing devices which will cater to the new needs of the non urban Indian market.
