37% rural youth sans Internet access: Study
After telecom and IT minister Ravi Shankar Prasad backed an open Internet three days ago, a note prepared by the Department of Telecom (DoT) for a meeting of the committee on net neutrality on Friday said the concept may help the Digital India programme and also ensure equitable and inclusive development.
The committee on net neutrality held its second meeting on Friday with officials from DoT Licensing and Finance Wing, home ministry and DeiTY ahead of a May deadline to give its report to government.
