Odisha CM to launch city CCTV surveillance system in capital on Feb 5

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik to launch city CCTV surveillance system in capital on Feb 5. A meeting to this effect was held at the Commissionerate Police headquarters where senior police and concerned CCTV company officials were present. Official sources said that in the first phase a total of 28 CCTV cameras have been installed at various strategic locations in the city.While 40 more CCTV cameras will be introduced in the second phase, 22 will be installed in third phase. A total of Rs23 crore would be spent for the purpose, the sources said.
