Why eHealth is a key pillar of Digital India

Today, I feel excited to see the government embrace and support the move towards a Digital India. In my mind, digital technologies do 3 fundamental things for any consumer. First, it provides access to Knowledge, Information & Products in the most democratic manner – information is no longer the preserve of a select fortunate few. Second, complex concepts can be easily explained through evolved digital products. Third, free flow of information leads to ‘transparency’, which is critically important to ensure the systems are efficient and free of middlemen causing distortions and price/ quality mismatch.

We believe healthcare would be the space most impacted by digital India (through better access to quality knowledge, clarity in understanding and greater transparency).
